This gift is a wood sculpture for my younger brother, who is very close to me. We experienced our firsts together in our childhood home in Bozcaada, a small island near Istanbul, which became our second womb where we were nurtured. This island is known for its cobblestone pavements, a local feature demanded by ordinance. Since I will go off to college, our shared era will come to an end, so I wanted to symbolize the distance between us through the architecture of Bozcaada and gift him a cobblestone of my design to keep our bond alive no matter how far the distance.
